2021
Creation of Exertis Broadcast
Following our acquisition of JB&A – a leading distributor of broadcast, post-production, and AV technology in North America – we opened our all-new Broadcast division. This sector offers more than 80 manufacturer partners, unmatched credit facilities and exclusive access to products.
Acquisition of The Music People
Adding to our growing Musical Instruments division, JAM|Exertis, we added The Music People (TMP) to our portfolio of companies. This acquisition allowed us to further grow into the music and AV market and to strengthen our offering to our customers.
Acquired Azenn
We acquired the French distributor of structured cabling solutions and network devices, Azenn, because we felt it was a great fit with our prior business in France. It has since allowed us to broaden our range of network devices and cabling solutions to our customers.
Acquisition of Corepixel
Exertis began our expansion into the physical security market with our addition of Corepixel to our portfolio. This acquisition was part of our Nordic initiative and saw Corepixel and its staff become the backbone of our freshly started Security division.
Creation of Exertis Almo
2021 saw DCC’s largest acquisition to date with the addition of Almo to our portfolio. This move helped us to extend our international reach in the AV market, as well as adding their kitchen and appliance product ranges to the offering we’re able to give customers.
2020
Acquired COMM-TEC
The addition of COMM-TEC to our portfolio was proof of Exertis’ strategic AV priority, and a key investment in our growth. This acquisition assisted us with increasing our presence in continental Europe, while providing synergy opportunities with our AV divisions in other countries.
Acquired Amacom
Our acquisition of Amacom - the Dutch distributor of consumer electronics and domestic appliances to retail, e-tail, and B2B resellers – provided us with the opportunity to expand our consumer electronics business in continental Europe, while providing us with a synergy that benefits vendors.
2019
Acquired Stampede
The acquisition of the Exertis AV distributor Stampede by Exertis in 2019 added a new, exciting brand to our portfolio that provided a North American pair to our Exertis brand in Europe. Stampede’s expertise with our resources allowed for more opportunities for our Exertis AV partners worldwide.
Rebrand of JAM to Exertis | JAM
After the launch of Exertis North America, JAM Industries rebranded to Exertis | JAM to better align with the wider Exertis group, following a 50-year history of being North America’s leading distributor of AV, consumer electronics, and musical instruments.
Acquired Keren
When we acquired Keren, a specialist, value-add AV distributor, we took a step towards demonstrating our commitment to becoming the leading AV/UC distributor globally, both through key acquisitions and organic growth.
Acquired Bconnected
Exertis acquired Bconnected because of their reputation as a respected and trusted partner for providing EMM and MDM services in Ireland. The acquisition enabled us to offer and develop a range of end-point management services for our partners and expand into other geographies.
2018
Acquired Hypertec
We acquired Hypertec in 2018, a distributor of third-party and own-brand products that include memory, storage, accessories, assistive technology and security. Hypertec has over 50 staff at its facility in Hungerford, Berkshire, providing high value service and products to most of the UK’s largest IT resellers who provide their products to enterprises, SMBs and the public sector. Hypertec brought with it an excellent track record in the industry and strong relationships with its customer base and vendor partners. Their own brand product and technology portfolio continue to increase in demand in the economic environment as users look to extend the life or improve the performance of computing devices and resellers attach accessories to add margin to their sales.
Acquired Kondor
The acquisition of Kondor further expanded the line up of accessories. Product from phone cases, Bluetooth speakers, headphones and wireless chargers to name a few. Also bringing with it strong relationships with retail, with deals in place with over 250 retailers, including: EE, O2, Carphone Warehouse, John Lewis, Amazon, Tesco and Argos. Attractively, Kondor also held the exclusive right to distribute Samsung accessories in the UK.
Acquired JAM Industries

2017
Acquired MTR
We acquired MTR Group, a service and solutions provider specialising in second generation lifecycle extension of mobile devices. MTR brought with it a capability to offer refurbishment and reverse logistics to Exertis customers across B2B, mobile and retail markets. MTR employed 60 people at its refurbishment facility in Harlow, Essex where they held, and hold, the esteemed accreditation as a Samsung repair partner.
2016
Acquired Hammer
Hammer had enjoyed considerable success in providing value-added services and bespoke solutions in a number of vertical markets for their customers and has a well-earned reputation as a storage specialist. The acquisition significant benefited our expertise and solutions in the storage market, complementary to our existing server and enterprise business, and providing Hammer customers and vendors with a platform for growth. Hammer brought with them offices in the UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Belgium and the Netherlands, 165 personnel, and a leading range of vendors including Dell, Intel, Netapp, Seagate and Western Digital.
Acquisition and creation of Exertis Ztorm
In 2016 Exertis made the acquisition of Ztorm. An innovative company based in Sweden which distributes digital content across the globe to via it’s fast and secure gateway between publishers and retailers. Ztorm brought a new footing into the digital media space and distribution partnerships with Microsoft, Sony, EA, Ubisoft, Nintendo, Sega, McAfee, Adobe and Symantec.
2015
NDC completed in Burnley, UK
We completed the construction of our 543,620 sq ft national distribution centre in Burnley for Exertis UK. Representing at the time 200 manufacturers and more than 22,000 product lines in stock, so state-of-the-art warehousing facilities in a location that enables us to access the motorway network quickly and easily are vital to fulfilling our commitment to next day delivery and the highest levels of customer service. Taking 56-weeks, more than 42 km of tubular steel piling and construction of a steel frame requiring 1,900 tonnes of metal the unit is big enough to contain five full-sized football pitches
Acquired Computers Unlimited
Computers Unlimited was acquired in 2015 to add a wide range of third party branded software, IT hardware and consumer electronics products and access to over 2,000 partners throughout the UK and Continental Europe. Providing best-of-breed products at the time from more than 70 leading manufacturers, including Adobe, Epson, Griffin, Incipio, LocknCharge, Microsoft, Nemetschek, Parrot, Sonos, Wacom, and Western Digital. The portfolio of products also includes Flexson, an in-house developed range of accessories for Sonos, which includes stands and brackets, skins, and other innovative complementary products, all of which are sold globally.
2014
Acquired CapTech
We launched our Nordic push with the acquisition of Sweden based CapTech Distribution AB. Sweden’s largest independent technology distribution business. CapTech brought strong relationships with technology manufacturers including Acer, Asus, BenQ, Dell, Microsoft, NEC and Samsung and sells to a very broad range of etail, retail and reseller customers
2013
Exertis formed
Exertis brand was formed, the integration of multiple acquisitions in UK, the historic name of Micro P, Gem etc integrated into the newly formed Exertis brand. The new brand was an important step in establishing Exertis as the UK’s leading technology distributor.
2008
Acquired Portix
Portix was acquired in 2008 to enhance our mobile offering to build out our partnership with Samsung Mobile driving significant success.
2007
Acquired Tekdata
Acquired in 2007, our expansion into providing speciaslt network security products. Biggest and longest serving SonicWALL distributor training partner in the UK
1995
GEM Distribution acquired
Adding Gem Distribution added a new strength in gaming and entertainment markets. Founded in 1984, Gem had earned a proud reputation as one of the UK's leading software and entertainment hardware distributors. Constantly developing the offering and providing Logistics, Creative services and more to resellers.
